The rap sensation Eminem is under severe criticism after releasing his first single, “Houdini,” from his new album “The Death of Slim Shady,” on Friday night. The track is giving vibes of Early 2000s Em. In the song, the rapper talked about the July 2020 shooting involving Megan Thee Stallion and Tory Lanez, because of which he is facing a lot of backlash. The lyrics are like this: “If I was to ask Megan if she would collab with me /Would I really have a shot at a feat? /I don’t know, but I am glad to be.” Many expressed their outrage at the lyrics on social media. One user wrote, “The rapper contended that it had become a practice to disrespect a black woman.” “If it was too much to stop Eminem from making light of an incident in which Megan was a victim of gun violence,” the user asked.
