Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire Successfully Collected $45.2 Million Over the Weekend

Despite mixed reviews and a B+ CinemaScore, Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire is still doing a good business. It successfully topped the weekend box office with $45.2 million in ticket sales, nearly the same as the $44 million launch for Ghostbusters: Afterlife. Though the makers aren’t assured of profitability, they hope for sustained business over spring break. The movie had a low impact internationally, adding $16.4 million in 25 overseas markets. Directed by Gil Kenan, Frozen Empire cost about $100 million.
