Michael Douglas Discovers He’s Related to Scarlett Johansson on ‘Finding Your Roots’

On the PBS series “Finding Your Roots,” the host Henry Louis Gates Jr. revealed that the “Black Widow” actress Scarlett Johansson is a DNA cousin of Michael Douglas. According to Gates and his “book of life,” Douglas and Johansson share identical branches of DNA on four different chromosomes. Douglas expressed shock at this discovery: “Are you Kidding me?” Then Gates explained that their shared DNA appears on Johansson’s maternal lines, which stretch back to Jewish communities in Eastern Europe.
