New ‘Hunger Games’ Movie in The Works Based On Suzanne Collins’ Latest Novel

Lionsgate Films has announced they are developing a new “Hunger Games” movie. The movie will be based on the latest novel by Suzanne Collins, author and television writer. On Thursday, Collins announced the fifth book in the dystopian franchise, “Sunrise on the Reaping,” released next year. Lionsgate Motion Picture Group’s chairman, Adam Fogelson, revealed that the studio will develop the screen adaptation of the latest chapter and decided to release it on 20 November 2026. Famous American filmmaker and producer Francis Lawrence will direct the movie, and Nina Jacob and Brad Simpson’s Color Force banner will be leading the production work.
