Regina King Breaks Silence on Her Son’s Death

American actress and director Regina King opened up for the first time about the journey of mourning and healing she has been on since the death of her son Ian Alexander Jr. In 2022, Ian Jr. committed suicide after suffering from mental health issues. King said she is a different person now. She also prefers to speak about her son in the present because he’s always with her. Reflecting on his struggles with mental health, King admitted to being so angry with God for giving so much weight of depression to Ian.
