American professional fitness coach Richard Simmons reveals his skin cancer diagnosis in an emotional Facebook post. He contacted his dermatologist after noticing a strange-looking bump under his right eye, who told him he had basal cell carcinoma and advised him to consult a cancer doctor as soon as possible. After diagnosis, Simmons went to Dr. Ralph A. Massey and underwent a painful process of removing cancer cells by burning his skin. He had to go through this painful procedure twice, but the cancerous cells were removed entirely from his skin.
