Yazan Kafarnah, a 10-year-old boy from Gaza, has become the symbol of starvation amid the ongoing conflict. Afflicted by cerebral palsy, his health deteriorated significantly during the Israeli campaign against Hamas and the subsequent siege on Gaza. Tragically, Yazan’s struggle ended in his death from malnutrition and a respiratory infection. Aid groups warn of a dire situation for over two million Gazans, with at least 20 Palestinian children already succumbing to malnutrition-related causes. The conflict has severely disrupted access to food, medical care, and essential supplies, exacerbating the humanitarian crisis.
