American contemporary Christian recording artist Mandisa, who rose to fame on American Idol’s 5th season, passed away on 18 April, leaving a legacy of soulful melodies. Born on 2 October 1976 in Citrus Heights, California, the musician studied music in college before auditioning for American Idol in 2005.
Despite her early exit from Idol, Mandisa’s determination propelled her to release six albums, each a testament to her artistry. Her debut, “True Beauty,” made history by ranking at No. 1 on the Top Christian Albums chart, marking her as the first female artist to achieve this.
