Charlie Colin, an American musician and founder of the US rock band “Train,” passed away on Wednesday. Colin’s sister confirmed the news of his death. His mother revealed that the musician died after slipping in the shower while house-sitting for a friend in Brussels.
Born in 1965/1966, Colin was famous as the bassist for the rock band Train. In 1993, he formed the band in San Francisco and enjoyed one of their biggest hits, Drops of Jupiter. In the early 2000s, Colin left the band before they dropped one of their major hits, Hey Soul Sister.
After he left the band, Colin played guitar and provided vocals for many other bands. He was born and raised in Newport Beach, California, where the guitar became his constant companion.
Train paid tribute to his death on their Instagram handle, saying, “When I met Charlie Colin, I fell in love with him.” Colin was a handsome guy, and what a handsome chap. Let’s make a band; that’s the only reasonable thing to do.
