Former UFC Heavyweight Champion Francis Ngannou’s 15-Month-Old Son Dies

On Monday, the former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou shared on Instagram that his 15-month-old son Kobe died on 27 April. The cause of death is not revealed yet. He shared a black and white photo of him with his son alongside his son’s birth and death date.

Ngannou said his son Kobe was full of life and joy. He shouts his name over and over, but Kobe does not respond. Ngannou added How to deal with such a thing? He asked everyone for an idea as he didn’t know what to do or how to deal with the situation.

The mixed-martial artist also paid tribute to his late son on X(Twitter), writing, “What’s the purpose of life if what we’re fighting tooth and nail to get away from is what finally hit us the hardest!?”

He asked why life is so unfair and merciless. Many of his friends and colleagues from the MMA world responded to his son’s death. Conor McGregor wrote on X(Twitter) that he is so sorry to hear about the loss; his prayers are with Ngannou and his family.

Ngannou’s coach, Eric Nicksick, also shared a heartfelt message on X(Twitter). “Words can’t express the pain we feel for his family during this time.”
