Mamie Laverock, a Canadian actress known for portraying Rosaleen Sullivan in “When Calls the Heart,” is in critical condition after falling five stories from a balcony walkway.
On 11 May, Laverock’s mother, Nicole Compton, transported her to Winnipeg Hospital due to a medical emergency. Later, the actress was transferred to a Vancouver hospital, where she would have to stay for a month or more.
Doctors stated that Laverock is alive and is showing signs of improvement. She has undergone multiple extensive surgeries as she sustained life-threatening injuries due to the fall.
Laverock’s family has created a GoFundMe campaign to raise funds to pay her medical expenses. The campaign has raised over 11,000 CAD so far. Following the tragedy, her co-star Erin Krakow posted an Instagram post urging her followers to donate to the family’s fund.
