On Sunday night, American country pop singer Morgan Wallen was arrested after he allegedly threw a chair from Nashville Bar’s rooftop. Wallen’s lawyer, Worrick Robinson, confirmed his arrest.
At 10:53 on Sunday evening, Wallen was held on charges of reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct. Robinson said the singer is completely cooperating with the authorities. The chair Wallen threw fell from the rooftop and struck the ground a short distance from the cop’s position in front of Chief’s Bar on Broadway.
After the incident, bar employees immediately called the police and showed them the video of Wallen lunging and throwing an object over the roof. The employees and other witnesses told the police that the singer began laughing after the incident.
Wallen was released at 3:30 am on Monday after paying a $15,250 bond. However, he still has to appear in court on 3 May. It was not the first time Wallen was caught in a controversy.
In 2021, Big Loud suspended his recording contract, and his music was removed from various radio stations after his video of hurling a racial slur went viral. Wallen paid a penalty of $300,000 to the Black Music Action Coalition and apologized by posting a video.
On 24 May 2020, Wallen was arrested for disorderly behavior and public intoxication in the vicinity of Big Ass Honky Tonk Rock N’ Roll Steakhouse in Nashville. He was ejected from the area for kicking glass items and getting into a verbal altercation with bystanders.
