‘Yours, Mine and Ours’ Actress Jennifer Leak Dies at 76

Jennifer Leak, a Canadian film and television actress known for her role in “Yours, Mine and Ours,” died on 18 March at her home in Jupiter, Fla. The actress was suffering from a rare neurological disease, progressive supranuclear palsy, for seven years.

Born on 28 September 1947, Leak grew up in various cities, including England, Canada, Hertfordshire, Toronto, and Jerusalem. At the age of 17, she began her career by appearing in the Mike Nichols-directed television series Wojeck.

In 1968, she was featured as Lucille Ball’s daughter in Yours, Mine and Ours. Jennifer Leak was married to American actor Tim Matheson. Unfortunately, their marriage was very short, from 1968 to 1971.

Following Leak’s death, Matheson gave a tribute to her on Facebook. He fondly remembered her as a remarkable woman.

Leak’s career spanned both film and television, leaving an indelible mark in the industry. Her talent shone through in popular shows like The Mary Tyler Moore Show and Hawaii Five-0. However, it was in daytime soap operas that she truly found her calling, showcasing her versatility and dedication to her craft.

During her time in New York, Leak found love and companionship in James D’Auria. Her husband, James, lovingly described her as a shy and private person, someone who never sought the limelight or the need for an audience.

In the mid-1980s, Leak retired from screen acting and ventured into real estate, showcasing her versatility beyond the entertainment industry. Throughout her 47-year marriage to D’Auria, the couple split their time between New York City and the Hamptons before settling in Florida in 2017.

Jennifer Leak leaves behind a legacy of talent, dedication, and love. She is survived by her husband, D’Auria, and her brother, Kenneth Leak, who preserve her memory in the hearts of those who know and cherish her.
